At around 2 acres, this is the largest of our four coarse lakes and has 30 well-spaced pegs.

This stunning lake, which features an island, reeds and lily beds, is very well stocked with a variety of fish including carp, mirror and common (the official lake record stands at 18lb), tench – green and gold – to 5lb, chub to 4lb, plus bream, rudd, roach and perch.
- Tackle hire is available for coarse fishing on the Pleasure Lake from our on-site tackle shop.
- Being a short walk from the main car park, the lake has a small number of lakeside disabled parking spots for blue badge holders.
- In the winter we organise a series of open matches: keep an eye on social media for dates.
Tuition
Private tuition is available; we can put you in touch with local fishing coaches who can meet you at the lakes. This would be by prior arrangement only, normal fishing charges apply and you would need to pay the coaches direct for the tuition.
Remember, non fishers are more than welcome at Eisteddfa and can enjoy the tranquillity of our surroundings from the comfort of our licensed on-site cafe. With a wide ranging menu offering anything from freshly ground coffee to delicious homemade cakes and hearty meals you can dine indoors, on our veranda or even at your peg.
